Awaaz is a practice tool. It cannot assess or diagnose. A speech-language therapist can look at speech, language, hearing and communication as a whole.

Consider an assessment if

  • People outside the family often find your child hard to understand.
  • Your child seems frustrated, embarrassed or avoids talking.
  • Speech does not seem to be changing over several months.
  • There are concerns about hearing, understanding language, stammering or voice.
  • An adult notices speech changes that are new or getting worse.

Sudden changes in speech in an adult, such as slurred speech or difficulty finding words, need urgent medical attention, not an app.

Bringing Awaaz information

You can print or save a report from the Progress tab to show what has been practised. It is useful background, not an assessment result.
